Broken Home
Nobody sees, nobody cares
Hiding bodies and bloodstains under the stairs
Skeletons in my closet, monsters under the bed
Memories drowned out by the hearbeat in my head
I can't breathe through the screams
I can't see through the tears
Red plastic cups and aluminum cans
Fragment of glass on the ground
And the smell of beer thick in the air
Here, in my room, its safer, come on in
Shut the hell up and get out of my house
Hungry? No. Good.
The glass beckons
Sharp edges, like my parents
Heart beats fast, faster, fastest
Suitcase and backpack in my closet
Phone a friend
Noboby noticed... someone cares
When did that end? The first drink or the last kiss
They never chose me
But I have 20 bucks and a Rite Aid
So no one will notice even though they care
Foundation over concealer over cream over bruise and cut
Purple and pink and red and blue
Keys, phone, suitcase, backpack, makeup, money, friend's house
Run
