The Broken Path

I look in the mirror

Hoping to have the little girl

Looking back at me

Only to see the dark eyed teen

Which happens to be me

But childhood never seems so far

When falling down the rabbit hole leads to the second star

Daydreams a reality

While the nightmare was just gravity

And now we live in darken dreams

Which never seem to leave

To sit and wonder where the light has gone

After dancing in the moonlight for so long

The warmth of the sun long forgotten

Is like trying to gain the love from someone so rotten

Reality is gravity

And nightmares full of voices

So down the broken path of choices

Fall to long and

Here I crash

Upon the blacken sands at last

Fate Written Among the Stars

People don't need to know your name to know your story. I want to be able to write without anyone knowing it's me. Appreciate the work for what it is, not who it is. I hope you enjoy my poetry, it has come a long way but still has a long way to go.
