On this broken path of fear
On this broken path of fear,
Memories slide down my cheek,
Run far away from here.
I only pray, my dear,
That I'm not fragile, not weak,
On this broken path of fear.
It is so hard when you're not near,
With darkness rising to it peak;
Run far away from here.
It surrounds me, the path unclear,
Oh, why is this journey so bleak?
On this broken path of fear.
Around the corner, I cautiously peer
To see the shadow of nature's freak;
Run far away from here.
But the sun rises, those dark shadows disappear,
Shining on all life that is unique;
Time to flee this path of fear,
Time to go someplace better than here.
