Broken Pieces

Speaking broken riddles means little

shards of glass push through every pore of your being

A constant resonance of the cathedral bells ring dong dinging

Every branch bent backwards and twisted

Every spoken word

You missed it

The zipper zips and the sirens sing

Nothing to offer and nothing to bring

Silence is golden until that's all that you have

A face to place the mask

Smile

Pretend

Break character and laugh

You're on stage while the world is

Taking up space

Standing the test of time

Based upon the human race
