BROKEN PROMISES
BROKEN PROMISES
You see
I trusted your words
You promised
You‘d never walk away
But now you are a thousand miles away
You promised
You’d never hurt me
But now am in pain
You promised
You‘d always make me smile
But now am in tears
You promised
You‘d love me like no other
But yet broke me like no other
You promised
You‘d wipe away every tear
But yet you were the one who made tear
You see
I trusted your promises
So much
I trusted you
I trusted us
I trusted destiny
But yet failed
You see
I don’t really blame us
I don’t really blame destiny
I get it
Promises are meant to be broken
But did ours have to break?
…………………to be continued…………………
