Broken promises

You promised to love me But you were honored to lie to me Promised to fight for me But you fought against me You promised to be there for me But I felt your absence almost everyday You promised to show people our love But in public you would always act like you're ashamed of me You promised me your heart But you gave me scars Scars that will never heal You broke your promises
