Broken Soul

The storms; they raged

While the winds did blow

And the windows smashed

In her shattered soul

Eyes shut tight against the world

Whispers gusting through her hair

No More, No More, No More.

Her desperate screams meet the silent air

Who can save her now?

This shattered piece of life

This broken window of a soul

Pierced by her own knife

Shivering on the floor

Loneliness lurking like an old friend

Her happiness is fading

All she wants is for an end

Monsters wear their masks

And demons shed their skins

She knows that she is one with them

And kin will follow kin.
