Broken souls and mending hearts

You expect me to mend your broken heart,

yet my soul is torn and has been ripped out.

You may think you love me,

but I can see your lonely.

My heart has been shattered into pieces

a million times,

but for you I taped it back together,

You make me forget I ever loved another.

I know down the road you will leave too,

just like they all do.

I want you to stay,

but you won't find happiness

if you try to rush your heart,

You need a clean slate before you do,

Because you can't choose love,

it chooses you.

i know this is true,

because my heart chose you.
