Broken Squares
If I could start all over
I would
If I could do it again
I would
If I could take back what I said
I would
If I could tell you
how I felt
how I feel
What I wanted
what I want
I would
Because I did it all wrong
Right from the start
If I had known what I know now
the good
the bad
the pain
the love
the all of the above
I would change it all
I'd tell you
how I felt
when I cried
when I needed you
and you didn't know
I would tell you
everything
faster
better
in a way much more significant
I would insist
I would share
I would help
I would immerse
all that I was willing to
I held back so much
You feel you didn't give enough
But you did
I was so happy
I had the world
all to myself
Then it took itself
away
from me
And now
you're gone
