Broken Trust

When your heart has turned into ice, hard as stone; One gets very used and content to be alone; That means no trusted relations, just acquaintances; The fear of allowing another to warm and thaw the love once more; All they got are open windows with a closed door; Bolted shut with locks and distrust; How could anyone water a plant with no soil; Getting tired of trying to figure the fakes from the loyals; Might as well give up self love, there's not even one whom truly care; If you knew how many times SOS was called with a flare; And still none would come, none would dare; The amount given not reciprocated leaves all lost; To really feel passionate love, everyone must sacrafice a cost; Why heat the soul up to crash and burn; Wouldn't it be better to stay frozen and eventually evaporate; Than to risk disintegration and placed in an urn; Sometimes I fear my own thoughts with great concern; Wouldn't you want to be done with giving people their turn; How does one ever discern the truth in what's earned;
