Broken Wings
Sitting alone, this girl,
No one seems to see
She looks up at the world,
but doesn't see a thing.
For everything there
is a blind as can be.
Everything is left bare,
Nothing but forgotten dreams..
People walk around,
As if lost and dead.
This girl, hears no sound..
No words are ever said.
Human contact is rare,
All faces are blank.
No more, no one cares,
She hangs her head ashamed.
Her wings falter,
Her heart cries.
For life doesn't bother,
Everything passes by.
We are stones,
blank and grey.
No expressions...
Just day by day.
We have forgotten to live,
We have died while alive.
No sounds or cares to give,
We just live to die...
The girl that sits,
Now lays down.
Knees up and bent,
Lays cold on the ground.
Give up she does,
Halo and wings are heavy.
All her fears and hells,
Are too much to carry.
There she lays,
No one sees.
Silence: nothing to say,
She dies with broken wings...
