Brother
Brother, my brother
Where have you gone
Lost in a world
Lean on to our bond
I don’t see why you can’t just unfurl
Brother, my brother
Every time your face turns in my head
In my heart it rains cold
Can’t you tie a knot in your thread
This is my attempt to scold
Brother, my brother
I love thee so
And I can see that you are trudging through mud
You used to put my hair in bows
I know you are not a dud
Brother, my brother
Things are hard
I get it, I know
But when you are at the very bottom and are scarred
Just think of what you see when there is fresh snow
Brother, my brother
Like a rose that grew in the Spring
Immediately it froze when Winter came
As it thaws, the rose will surly sting
But think of its beauty fame, that rose will never be the same
Brother, my brother
You have your feet
You have my hands
Dance to your own beat
And walk on your own lands
Brother, my brother
Listen to my small attempt at rhyme
Don’t forget your childhood town,
And the present time
But,
Don’t let it hold you down
Brother, my brother
Brother, my brother
My brother
You have so much potential
Please,
smile again
