Brother
Remember that day we was born
A gift from God, our heads held high and our feet on the floor
From age 1 i didn't even know you
But i didn't know what to expect the first time i hit you with that one two
You scared me from the very start
From your first word, to that very last insult
I thought we was cool and everything was great
When mom wasn't there i'm the one who put food on your plate
Going into this life this shit wasn't planned
With that knife and blood in both of your hands
Yea you frightened me everyday of my life
I couldn't trust you with anything not even your own life
One day you wanna take that rope and put it around your neck
And i realize that you thought you had nothing left
Acting up in the house thinking you was hard
But was you really when i put yo ass down in the yard
14 years old how can i forget?
Time you beat me down blood on my right, blood on my left
Mom not there what a nigga to do?
Do i hit you back or just pretend that we coo?
We was supposed to be homies not men in war
We supposed to have each others backs and not throw them on the floor
But are we really brothers or just men in war?
I don't even know if i have a brother or am i me anymore...
