Brother, Friend
Upon a distant tide of short regard
I find myself in contact with another man
Whose heart sings to no higher power
Whose life belongs to no other
And in my own heart I feel ambivalence
For what can he achieve?
But will it ever be worth it?
Quarrelsome, indeed,
He bares an enemy with no name
His plans are simple,
His tools few,
But in the end he will succeed
Because his mind is sharp,
Stature strong, quick, small,
His lungs full of hardy force,
He will not be forgotten
His hardships will be stringent and long,
His life will not be simple,
He will live nobly, but he will die in vane
Crushed by the hand of a god
And taken to the depths of hell
But he will get his wish
And the one who took it all
Will die with him
