Brother mine

Dear Ian,

The day, relinquished, you had to go,

The only one to ever know.

You'll come back soon, I won't be afraid,

I'll listen for the wandering tune of moonlight greyed.

Unlike stars that with distance pale,

Distance only clears each detail.

Your face is etched into memory,

An inifinity secured boundlessly.

The time will pass as days race past,

And I will wait for you, steadfast.

Night will fall and I will dream

Of the day I can redeem,

Before you had somewhere else to be,

The embrace you promised me.

Love, Jocelyn
