Brown And White

My love is the same, my faith is the same my hopes are the same, so

Is it right, that I'm consider “not the best” because I'm Hispanic
is it right, that I'm considered ugly because my skin tone is not white
is it right to discriminate me because of the language I speak
Is it right, to call me Un-American because of where my background is from

so Is it right to fear to have family and friends taken from me

Because they came here for opportunity and liberty illegally

In this so called land of the free our freedom is taken from us

and fear is given
So No it's not, it will never be right.

We are not drug lords, we are not criminals,

We are us citizens looking for opportunities.

And it's not just me alone but those of color

Those of the beautiful shades of brown

Who truly try to live in a land of free but are discriminating against

We are accused by the orange man

That we are consider “not our best” but today

I speak words of wisdom standing tall for who I am

Speaking for those without a voice

Brown is as beautiful as white

 Brown is smart as white

 Brown are equal to white

In the land of free no one

Not even the orange man can take these words.

Brown is white and white is brown

and fear is no more
for we will all soar

while we show the orange man

that this is also our land.
