The Brown In Your Eyes
The Brown In Your Eyes
The sound of your heartbeat beating steadily when laid above your chest,
Allows me to close my eyes, peaceful for the rain that hits the window
Beside you there is no sense of emptiness, never like a bird leaving the nest.
For there is nothing that compares to the warmth you supply in this home, that much I know.
Questions are often asked, words exchanged about our day and then we rest.
The touch of you arms wrapped around me give me security.
We laugh, the laugh that escapes your lips with the bright flowers around us is pure bliss.
Our minds young, but the love we have within us gives off maturity.
Your lips not being the only sense of connection, for every look with you is a kiss.
I thank what we have for the extinction of any insecurity.
The color of your brown eyes, reflecting a different shade every time we are under the sun.
The leaves falling as we pass by, taking in the scenery that we have grown accustomed to.
Even when there are days where the days are not as bright, we both know what we have is not overdone.
I love you, for everything you are rather than what you own, that much I do.
Our love is what we cherish most, I hope that this love has the ability to fit within everyone.
