The Browns Suck, but I Still Love Them

Dear Grandma Hank and Grandpa Goog,

You’re not missing much,

it’s colder than hell here.

Hopefully not too warm there, depending

That could be bad.

I wonder, do you remember me there

You didn’t in the end here, it hurt.

Not as bad as the pain Mom felt to see you

Crumble from solid granite.

They kept you locked in separate houses,

A horrible way to end those golden years.

Prisoners in your own mind,

Strong hearts bound by vow and love, and a ring.

Alzheimer’s funny,

Not ha-ha funny, but oh shit funny.

Like knowing a jokes punch line is coming,

But NEVER hearing it.

I wonder, did it call come back there?

The Sunday Fundays on the couch?

Sana’s famous chicken wings, or god forbid

The Fumble, thanks Mr. Byner, let’s all forget that.

They say there is no pain in heaven,

Is that true for Browns fans?

Tell me, does it still hurt?

Is St.Peter a fan, he should be, he holds the keys right?

Life’s going good here now, despite your absence

Going to Michigan State in the fall.

Sorry, Ohio State out of the question,

Out of state tuition…forget about it.

I hope you can’t remember this last season,

Winless is only good for draft picks and jokes.

Anyways, the Browns still suck

But I still love them, and both of you.
