Bruised with Your Love

Words are the tool that overtook me.

You told me that you loved me, would be there with me.

Said you'd take a bullet for me

Instead, in my heart you shot me

-oh did you fool me!

Your actions abuse me, sleep forever has left me.

Mentally broken from the tears, can't seem to see past the abuse.

Those nights where I was bruised by your fists on the loose.

Did your love need proof?

That guy, the one who helped me with school the reason I deserve it,

It's cool.

I gave him my number, yet I am the fool.

Your attention I craved, but life is so cruel

Your changes are coming, you said this is true

The air whispers "no" and that I'm being a fool.

Yet I know if you just saw me through my eyes, your love would be true:

Gone would be the feelings of blue.
