The Brutality of the Storm

The storm came quick, like a Striking Snake Deer dodging traffic on a busy highway Pouncing tiger Bullet rushing to its target Stealing away all feelings of safety. The rain came down hard, Crushing the trilliums Drowning the grass Leaving craters in the earth. Lightning came next, Illuminating the dark night Blinding Streaking the sky. One Mississippi Two Mississippi Three Mississippi Four Mississippi. Boom! Four miles away. After, thunder Crashing into the night Making children cry Paralyzing ears.
