A bucket to be kicked

Acts 7:39-40 New English Translation (NET Bible)

39 Our ancestors were unwilling to obey him, but pushed him aside and turned back to Egypt in their hearts, 40 saying to Aaron, ‘Make us gods who will go in front of us, for this Moses, who led us out of the land of Egypt —we do not know what has happened to him!

Where have all the children gone and where is innocence?

Who has interfered and taken away our childhood?

A conscience seared well-done and exposed by indifference

A world that is now geared to exist without Robin Hood

Nothingness the ruler now blaring musical instruction

Emptiness carried in buckets that one day will be kicked

Stomping to the drum somehow that’s resting on probation

Telling everyone to suck it up until they’re sick of it
