Building Bridges

Can we close the gap between Love and Hate?
So I can worry more about tests than being shot for a mistake.
Can we close the gap between Friend and Foe?
So I can tell a secret without starting a war.
Can we close the gap between Rich and Poor?
So my parents can ask for love instead of asking for loans.
Can we close the gap between Black and White?
So I don't have to pick sides in choosing what is right.

Can we close these gaps?
I think we can
For these divisions weren't created by God but man,
And what man created man can destroy,
So that the Garden of Eden can one day be restored.

I'll write, I'll sing, I'll make people belive in Starr and mine's hidden realities.
Through poems like these, Through what I achieve, I'll fight for eternal unity.
For we live in a very divided world,
But we can build a bridge and connect it once more.
