Bull

Proverbs 19:15

15 Lazy people sleep soundly,
    but idleness leaves them hungry.

Bull

Tired waking up … energy missing

Yawning with the eyes slowly tearing

Once in a while simply off balance

Ready to give up … not even guessing

Words seem to die before appearing

Even now guile drapes like a valance

Unusual for sure … even to try writing

Coffee perking in the background

But its fragrance does not come

How to endure … if flesh is despising

As the call lingers to come around

before this poem is starved and done

Blood starts flowing or is a headache coming

The little hair left seems to be shrinking

As the skin around it pulls

Is this ongoing? This mindless way of rowing

in a boat that’s slowly sinking

with the weight of all this bull
