bull market blues

The rich get richer and the poor get poorer

What would you do for another dollar?
Stocks and bonds, watch the bull market crash

Hey Mr. Dow Jones, what do you think about that?

Industrialize the latest revolution, market to the broken

Cater to the rich and suffocate the poverty-stricken.

Hey Mr. Broker, when did you sell your soul?

The greed that’s grabbed ahold of you is taking its toll.

Gotta watch the bar graphs grow and get taller

Can’t you see the world around you?

Or is your vision just getting smaller and smaller.

We the People are sitting in the ashes of the bridges and hopes that you’ve burned

We’re hopeless helpless hapless

Shouting out

CAN YOU HEAR US NOW? CAN YOU HEAR THE 99 PERCENT?

But no -

You can’t.

After all, another day, another dollar

You gotta watch those graphs get taller

You gotta save the economy, you’re the modern superman

Ignore the ones you’ve paved over with multi-million dollar roads

After all, in order to win a war, you’ve gotta sacrifice a few souls

But in this so called war, you’re not fighting for us, you’re fighting for yourself

So you can s**t in golden rimmed toilets

And whipe your a** with hundred dollar bills

So the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer

And apparently

You’d kill for another dollar.
