Bull Rider
Bull rider
Ice cold sweat puddles in my palms.
My head pounding jumping from one
Thought to the next hardly giving me Time to raddle off a prayer.
I keep my cool spitting on the ground
Smearing it with my boot.
But on the inside I'm pinning my soul down to my body so it can't scream for help.
As I climb the gate I meet the beast locking eyes on him and bowing my shoulders as I shake uncontrollably.
The clocks ticking down and my knuckles are shaking. but a sudden look down at my callused hands tells me this beast ain't seen nothin like me because a country boy is all I'll ever be.
