Bullet
Red
Flowing from a hole in my body
Oozing
The guttural groan and cry of pain escaping from my vocal chords
The pain, the pain
Agony, is all I can feel is the gut-wrenching agony
The screaming of sirens in the far distance
The darkness flooding my eye lids
Bright lights overhead
The motherly screams and the fatherly yelps of demand
Sisters wailing and brothers comforting
Did God take me as his angel?
Or Did Satan collect me from the gates of inferno?
The faint beeping and chairs skidding across the tiled floor
Awakens me or so I thought
I can hear but I cannot speak
Trying to communicate but nothing moves
Muscles still and frozen in place
Forced oxygen and starvation is what now awakens me
I'm awake but my conscience isn't
Brain dead and forever quiet
