Bulletproof

Bulletproof

By: Brooke Rochelle Mullinix

You pulled the shades off my eyes

Then looked straight inside and said

What do you want honestly?

Do you wanna work this out

Or try to take another route

But only follow your heart and dreams

I said, do you know

That there aint no right road

When I fall

Down on my knees

When I cry

Not knowing what I need

When you lose all you had…. to a good love gone bad

And lies become the truth

You’re bulletproof

Weighing heavy on my mind

Me and this cheap glass of wine

Where drunken words speak sober truths

Sortin right from wrong

Is this the calm before the storm?

Don’t ask, I haven’t a clue

I said, do you know?

That there aint no, right road

When I fall

Down on my knees

When I cry

Not knowing what I need

When you lose all you had…. to a good love gone bad

And lies become the truth

You’re bulletproof

You pulled the shades off of my eyes

Then looked straight inside and said

What do you want honestly?
