Bully Me Around
Everyone says it sucks to be short.
I can't reach the top shelf.
I can't see over the steering wheel.
I can't play basketball on my freshman team.
I'm unattractive to all the girls.
Thoughts like these use to fill my mind with ease.
But one thought always stuck around.
For years I've tried to make it go away.
At times it keeps me awake.
I can't get over the fact of How long it overstayed.
It was never welcomed.
It was never cherished.
It was never enjoyed.
By me anyway.
I guess it's time.
To let you know what's lingered in my mind.
hope you don't relate.
Of having the thought of being closer to the ground.
Is the reason why my bullies would bully me around.
What i was afraid of the most.
Was to carry out what i planned to do to those.
Who made me eat those blows.
Who destroyed my highs and gave me lows.
I was so deadset on putting on a show.
Using up all of my ammo.
Putting bodies all on the road
Thank God i didn't do that.
Let me tell you I was close.
It wasn't a gun that needed to save me.
It wasn't big brother that needed to save me.
It was all in my head.
My own mind was the one that played me.
Once I reached the level of maturity.
All those bullies words stopped hurting me.
The end.
