Burden

The pull and the strain

Placed upon us

Each person bearing their own load alone

We heap together

From clay and from stone

A new load to bear

To carry nowhere

Yet still we make it

And so is done

Each person creates

Each adding a little to the pile of pain

Yet still we carry our burden alone

Too proud and still too vain

We live life for the relationships within it. What is life without love? Poetry, no matter how clumsily expressed is love.
