A Burden On My Heart
See, i have these burdens on my heart,
And i could probably make a list or a chart.
And your just one of the chains
That still hangs.
Do you remember the ways,
Of that one summer day?
It was close to midnight,
And it probably took all your might
To ask me that night,
If id go out with you.
Shortly after, i broke it off.
I regretted it when i saw what i lost.
Then it was too late. Do i like the now, no. But i still care. Youve grown on me because we are friends. In these years i feel like i can talk to you whenever. Is this possible? Maybe, maybe not. But i feel like i've never received your forgiveness for real,
And i think its time to break that seal.
Forgive me, forgive me.
I apologize to thee.
Your a great friend, your keeper indeed.
