Burdened With A Big Heart

I am... burdened – with a big heart.

My heart is too big for my own good.

So big, that I have no choice but to where it on my sleeve, simply because it's not enough room in my body for it.

I am burdened.

Meaning I can't keep it all to myself. I feel the need to share it with others, but as of lately, people run from it instead of embracing it and just leave me empty handed.

All by myself.

This big heart of mine is a burden.

I'm tired of feeling this way.

I'm tired of being alone.

My big heart is a burden, and ironically I feel I'd be more alive without it beating in my chest.

Some may say having a big heart is not a bad thing, but they aren't the unhappy ones who have to face the sad reality of walking this world alone.

My big heart has become a burden on my life.

I am as I feel.

I am happy due to my imagination.

I dream of a world where the love you give is the love you receive.

I am saddend due to my reality.

I live in a world where the feeling is not always mutual.

Where just because you love someone, doesn’t mean they are entitled to love you back.

I am the way I am today because…

Because I am… burdened – with a big heart.
