buried emotions.

i have forgotten;

how to feel impactful

    (going through everyday motions)

how to wake up content

    (without going to a space filled with artistry)

how to appreciate it all

    (knowing this is not where I want to be)

how to turn off the voice

    (the not so lovely companion living in me)
how to love my personal foundation

    (without judging all the flaws)

how to know

this merely

a glimpse of time—

it’s a fuzzy blur.

i’m not quite sure

how I got to this place,

self-hostility.
