burn out

a burn out

burned too many times

pushed to the outs

my growing passion for life

stomped out like the flames of a campfire

my drive to work

suddenly stopped working

spending years in these empty clasess

my love for them died with the love for myself

friends who never cared much

that's always seemed to stay the same

a pluses turned to cs

I coudln't bring myself to care

god, rid me of this plague

I'm tired of being just another burned out gifted kid
