Burned Out

Day by day

Night by Night

I can't continue in this mental fight

Do you know how hard it is?

Do you know what it's about,

To constantly feel like a cigarette put out?

My fire is out

I am nothing but smoke

it seeps through my cracks until I begin to choke.

I am at war.

I have little power

to continue this mental battle from minute to hour

My will to win is gone,

I have no more might

How do you fight it,

when the "it" is what you're using to fight?
