Burning

I'm screaming for mercy For the bouts of pain to rest The pain that bleeds right through The aching in my chest You've stabbed me in the heart And the blood is on my face Leaking through my eyes From an empty, starving place I once was rising among the clouds Now diving off of the cliff called life To feel nothing but the whispering air Than the brokeness and strife I keep you in my dreams And burned into my mind I imagine your touch to sooth me down And help my grief unwind My mind is now empty Of all love and touch My soul is now burning From dying so much I may not ever see you again Or hear your voice to light You now burn amongst my memory Where my soul's hand holds your tight
