Burning

If only I could be

Half the person you were.

If only everyone could see

the beating of your heart, a soft purr.

Your smile lit up every room.

I wish that i then knew,

A grandfather, a son, a groom,

I would look up to.

But you blew out of our lives

The memories so clear in my eyes.

What a great soul you were.

I shed many a tear, but

The burning sensation

Is for you to still be here.

You changed my life.

Special indeed,

but cut out with a knife,

God forced you to seced.

But my heart still burns.

The scar is raw.

Something special inside you

Everyone saw.

This burning sensation

Spread like a wild fire.

Touching my heart and

Others too.

Your flame may have dimmed

But now im burning

Bright like you.
