Burning in Disguise

I vividly recall his warm body over mine. Everything else was a blur: the subtle pleasure, the pain, the confusion, the blood, his breathing. It all fell together in a murky, repetitive precession. His body enveloped all these other immensely overwhelming pieces. One thing I knew with absolute certainty, I felt comfort being drawn in close, skin to skin, with a man. Despite the reality of what was happening to me, that I so shamefully denied, I found a sliver of light and grabbed a hold with everything in me. What does this mean? How can I find such a sense of security in a place of abuse? Somehow, through the connection of heart beat against heart beat, the traumatic motions going on right within and around me became hazy I focused on the intense connection of our bodies.
