Burning House

The memories were burned

Souls were burned

Burned to ash

Families were broken

Hearing the cries for help

Suffocating with a smolder flame

Things were burned

Skin was burned

Sensations was lost

A  youth was burned

Like it was never going to happen

Hospital stays seemed to never end

Days in and days out

Prayers were said

Letters were sent

Things were burned

The life before that day was burned

Like it was never happened

A decade ago

There was a

“Burning House”

It touched everyone

But only burned one house

One family's hard work

Was burned in the matter of seconds

Body parts were lost

They were burned

A pain…

That wouldn’t go away with a simple aspirin

A pain…

That you would pass out from.

Having tons of wires hooked to you

It seemed like a rainbow of wires

Not knowing what they all do,

Because of a flame.

Not knowing if it was your fault,

Or if it was fate.

A “Burning House”

That started a family's life over

That pulled a family closer

Parents cried behind closed doors

Trying to be strong

Preparing for a loss

Not knowing the unknown

Not knowing if the baby

Is gonna be a piece of blue sky.

Then wanting heaven not to be so far away

Wanting to hold her one more time,

Kiss her one more time,

Hug her one more time

Telling her that you love her one more time

But that would be the last…

Prayers were answered

Letters were opened

A baby stayed on earth

The unknown is not so unknown it was very transparent

A “Burning House”

Didn’t take two lives

That is a story of a young girl’s

"Burning House"
