Burning Love

We were always meant to be and everyone thought we could never die

Our love grew like a flame,  it always burned

When we were together our love could never die

It burned brighter then anyone thought possible

The heat and the intensity became life like

We were two matches drawn close towards each other

When we touched sparks flew and our love grew stronger

Until one day we touched and the flames went out

We coughed and sputtered and tried to rekindle our flame

Trying to bring back that heat and intensity that we had

But it never seemed to work, and with a final shudder our flames died

We were meant to be, maybe that's why we burnt out
