Burning Words

The pages are turning

The words are burning

We are referring

To our future which is passing.

The world is massing

You will know

That we won’t take a no

For an answer

You cannot stop the Dancer.

We will not die.

You know why.

For we can hear the dead cry.

They cry about injustice

Why must this

Go on

Can’t you let us see a new dawn?

We will never lose

To the likes of you.

You call us ewe,

But we have grown

We will never moan

Until you atone

For what you did.

And then hid

From us

Now we cuse

As we ride a tortured bus

We will never die.
