The burnt novel

On a broken chair, I sat as it creaked like an old bicycle. And I gazed upon the sun as it gently faded into the horizon. With a tear in my eyes, I heaved a sigh as I looked at the torn pieces of my favorite novel. I smiled as I glanced through the burnt pages because I had the memories of it locked away in the deep recesses of my heart. The flames of hurt and pain couldn't reach the treasure I stacked in my heart. As the dusk came upon us, I felt a sharp pain in my chest. No, the treasure chest of my thoughts. Someone was reaching out to me but I couldn't see who it was. I felt like a sinking ship cos I was drowning in my thoughts. Then came an echo "you hurt me". The vibration of the voice broke the walls of my pride and opened doors to Humility. I now know my wrongs. I've made a mess. This ain't no probability that'll require a coin toss. I'm at loss cos I'm the tail.
