Butterflies

Butterflies

That's all I can remember

Butterflies

The very sight of you

That smile, oh that smile could light up a room

Not that you'd ever let it.

Your voice

Your lips

You

Butterflies

I think back to the moment I first laid eyes on you

My body craved for you

It knew what it wanted

You

All of you

All of me

Together

Butterflies

The thought alone was silly

How could I ever have you?

You were so beautiful

Beauty outside

Beautiful mess inside

But still all of it was you

That's who I fell in love with

Butterflies

You may not see what I see

You may not feel what I feel

But even in the darkest of places

There is a light

The light I see is hidden deep in you

Butterflies

No matter what it takes

No matter what I have to go through

A part of me will always love you

I will always miss you

Even when I just talked to you

You're not here

And it stings

But I think back to when I first kissed you

I tilted you back after a brisk massage

I pressure my lips onto your soft pink lips

My heart was about to give

It was all I ever hoped for

In that moment you were mine

Butterflies

And now I am alone in bed

Weeping for I know the one I love

Will never love me

The butterflies are falling dead

My heart is dead

My body is on auto pilot

I'm waiting to crash

I love you forever

Forever and always

As long as I'm living the feeling remains

Butterflies
