butterflies

The butterfly Soars Clouds nor stars can limit him. Flying far, spirits high, flitting by off-guard hearts. The wide-eyed child Soars Clouds nor stars can limit her. Daring young, reaching high, ceaseless she flies. To think: why? Dragging out the days, searching, vision glazed. heart racing, legs pacing, mind wrenching, fist clenching ballooning net. Captured nothing as of yet. Far from home, home alone. Her recollection, is of constant inspection, never passing, her spirits gasping take in the gold bright air. So out she stays, bolting for butteflies, jolting forward reaching, her firm mind beseeching that the creatures stay put in her net. Praying she’ll capture the best one yet. But her hurry and harrowing handling of hoping is making her seeing into kalidescopeing. Omnipresent butterflies, flitting in her mind’s eye. Never one to hold on to, too many to blind you. That butterfly flitting and fluttering, breathing A mercurial watch, He watches her wasting, waiting, lost. Tufts of hair pass the tops of grass, tossed by breezes who’ve left her bereft. Looking too low, thinking it’s best to be hiding and waiting, patiently humming, pain unabating. Wondering what’s caused the onslaught to stall, She gives up on the quest, futiley forgetting it all. In catching and roping, she’s given up hoping. She’s tried all her might, and can’t catch a thing. Come close, close enough for her heart to know the ring of her prey in her net, her fingers reaching. But never to grasp But the creator, the painter, has more in His plan. His omnipotence, then, knows there are more grand and glorious things in store for the girl. He can see how she longs to dance and twirl with the butterfly kissing her brow. So as she is louging, resting quite patient, Hard breathing from running, her heart feeling vacant, her grip on the net, tears littering eyes, He drops in her lap, catching her by surprise. The last thing expected, She’s tried to imagine, Contented joy the World contrives. After all the starting, trying and sweating, She is found caught by butterflies
