Butterflies

There’s a stillness in the air,passion through the night.

The warmth your presence brings, makes my heart feel light.

It sometimes feels heavy, but you make it alright.

You came & stole my heart, like my Prince Charming in the night.

Your love is like none other, your patience is like that of an old soul, waiting to catch a flight.

Let’s run away together...

Nah, I’m just playin;

When the time is right,I think we just might ;)

Tell u all my secrets; I feel vulnerable, like a kite.

Can’t get too high off love & lose sight. I gotta fight!

Gotta stay grounded & play chess, not roll the dice...

Finally up on my feet,cause this object called “Life” sometimes requires grit.

I pray for the day we grow wings

Fly away like a bird & be free as you and me;surely we’ll admire the sea
