Butterflies

You always loved butterflies Loved their glass-like wings So I painted my body With bruises Decorated it with scars I tore open my skin As if I were escaping my cacoon My lips looked like razors As horror dripped from your eyes.. But why were you so fearful? You always loved butterflies.
