A Butterflies Wings

September 5th, 1993 The day of birth for Max Lee Everything is unbeknownst to me As I haven’t even began to breathe I look, I see, very many things That will not be known in future reminiscing Richmond, Virginia; date unknown What a bad time for brother, mother, and me The future be unknown to me The beginning of the end of this family September 6th, 2001 5 days before a lot more is undone Be the 1st loss of family Because of a gun crime treated incorrectly How much could really go wrong? A lot if you are not strong! May, 2005 The month my life took yet another dive Another loss of family This time for the good of this “family” Divorce be the cause of this loss The loss that helped me begin breathe Like a weight is taken off the top of me Like a butterfly coming out of a cocoon on a tree February, 4th 2007 The day that brought me an Earthly heaven A day I remember vividly Prince sang Purple Rain As I watch the 1st Super Bowl in the rain This puts life back in to me With many years left for me The highpoint goes irate It’s May 26th, 2008 As mother has her 1st crash ever Things seem to last forever As I wish for things just to get better June 7th, 2008 I wake to the flood of 2008 Basement and garage be the only damage That left me a demonic imperfect image I feel like there is nothing left for me But I keep going and just wait and see Life is like a butterflys wings Beautiful to see But as fragile as can be The downs in life can be very depressing But the ups in life keep me living.
