Butterfly
The Monarch butterfly, a beautiful product of its environment.
We marvel in its elegance,
But are oblivious to what formed this life of content.
Just like that butterfly,
It took work to accomplish this young woman that stands before each day.
You were nurtured and taught,
Loved by those who constantly prayed.
From the womb you were great, your destiny meticulously planned.
God had a purpose for your life, he already knew your wing span.
The years that come were difficult,
He was determined to make you strong,
Let the wind guide you toward your blessing,
Making sure you ended where you belonged.
Now the time has come for you to fly,
Soon you will be on your own.
Please remember that you may be far
But you are never alone.
Live the life He has given you,
And never ask why.
Know that you are a Child of God,
His beautiful butterfly.
