Butterfly

As a kid, we dream to fly

Small and chubby stuck to the ground

Possibly conquering a leaf through devotion

We Jump from the leaf with an expectation

As a kid, we dream to fly

Eventually after jumping billions of times

We try again

Try to fly

This time

There is a jump

But no landing, no flying

We get caught on the leaf

We unknowingly attach ourselves

In a cocoon on what should've led us to fly

There we develop

We become something that can fly

As a kid, we dream to fly

After days of staying in the middle ground

not landing not flying

We become something that can fly

We break the shell that helped us develop

We climb to the top of the leaf

That we've depended on throughout our life

And we jump

There is no landing no getting stuck

As a kid, we dream to fly

And now we fly
