The Butterfly and Me

She sat alone with only the diary she wrote.

No one even noticed she was gone.

She waited until someone offered a coat.

Hundreds of walked by, but she was finally done.

She was done feeling sorry.

The only thing that she had to hold onto was the butterfly she'd been watching.

She silenced the rest of the world, her future became blurry.

The butterfly flowed effortlessly waiting.

She followed the beautiful creature.

Dipping, ducking and dodging anything in her way.

She continued to learn from the new teacher.

The butterfly and her had the last say.
