Byway

All of my life I've been trying to find

Someone who'll love me through the lies

That I have told to make myself feel I belong

Here

I was looking for love everywhere

Believing everyone who told me they cared

I tried to please them no matter the cost

But in the end it's You I lost

So why do I walk this road that leads to pain and sorrow?

Well I know now the byway's best

'Cause You have given me rest

They say you've got to find yourself

While persuading you to be somebody else

Now I'm trapped inside who I've made myself to be

Oh where can I find release?

And why do I walk this road that leads to pain and sorrow?

Well I know now the byway's best

'Cause You have given me rest
